Our wedding invite was a pop up fairytale book that my beloved made, and our bridal party and us painstakingly put together piece by piece. So my beloved made this pop up card for our wedding anniversary using one of our wedding photos  xx

A bunch of red roses from my beloved, they are the same colour roses we had on our wedding day.

For my present, my beloved took me vintage shopping for the day. I got these beautiful red gloves from Madame Butterfly, as well as this gorgeous 1950 copy of 'The Wizard of Oz', and this pretty hat from Menage Trois.
We went out for a movie at night and I wore this gorgeous peach 80's dress for the first time. I thought it looked just like a 1950's prom dress, isn't it pretty?

Yesterday my beloved and I celebrated our first Wedding anniversary. We had a lovely day, taking the doggies in the car and op shopping, having a nice dinner at home and going to a movie in the evening. It was so nice to look back at our Wedding and think of how fun the day was for us, and how quickly the year has gone by.

So Mad Men would have to be my all time favourite show (If I had to pick one). Set in the early 1960's in a New York Ad agency, this show has everything a decent TV show needs. The script and plot is fantastic, subtle yet surprising, the actors are wonderful, it has many a comedic moment, the characters are loveable yet realistically flawed, and most of all, the costumes are AMAZING. The real reason i swoon over this show is Betty Draper, The beautiful and complex blonde wife of Don Draper. I want her wardrobe, her house, her kids (her husband is pretty darn gorgeous too), and she is played wonderfully by January Jones. If you haven't already seen it, watch it NOW. There are 4 seasons out and we are awaiting the 5th xxxxxxx

It stopped snowing yesterday but the ground was still blanketed everywhere in white, so pretty! I rugged up in this wee 1920's look (I love 90's clothes that look like 20's clothes), and went back to study after a 2 week holiday. I have a bachelor of performing arts and I am currently doing a post grad teaching course to become a high school drama teacher. Stay warm everyone!

Snow! It has been snowing here in Christchurch since last evening, so I woke up to a beatiful white world. It is the heaviest snow fall we have had in over a decade, so it's quite exciting. The snow has made us housebound(which I love) so we have been rugged up at home keeping warm. We did venture out to walk the doggies, amd the park was just gorgeous, Toto and Bob had a great time (they were all rugged up to in woolen vests and rain coats. Our wee chickens were quite grumpy that they couldn't peck around the garden like they normally do, but they were nice and cosy in their hen house

My beloved and I spent the Friday night having a nice quiet night playing cards and reading. Aren't these playing cards pretty? We were gifted them from a dear friend who bought them from a casino in vegas, and they are professional poker cards. Awesome.

I shop 99% of the time in op shops so other than stockings and underwear, it takes a lot to get me to purchase something for my wardrobe brand new. Forever New is just one of those places. Everything has a vintage look about it, including the bags, and they have t he cutest range of hats. But when I came across this bag I knew I had to have it. It is nice and soft and has beautiful sparkling gems all over it, and it is big enough to fit all my daily stuff in it including my lunch when I return to studying (I am on holiday at the moment). It has a real 20's vibe to it and I just love it. Pretty! xxxxxx

A gorgeous copy of L.Franks Baums 'The Wizard of Oz ' One of my favourite stories of all time. I so want that dress on the cover. And the Toto on the cover (although I don't think my Toto would share me, he already gets jealous when I pat the bunny).
A pretty sparkly evening purse to go with my many blue dresses
An green straw hat that I have attached a brooch too. O have some wee wooden decorative cherries I might attach instead, will look great against the green
A wee captains hat. I have been looking for one like this for ages but all the ones I find are usually too big my my head. This one was perfect!!
A wee silk pouch that will fit all my day to day bits and pieces in it. It's a modern one but it      has a 20's feel to it and with my clothes it certainly won't look modern!

I found all these pieces in 3 different op shops for a total of around $15. Bargain! I love op shopping xxxxxx BLV

I found this gorgeous wee purse in a Salvation Army store last week and I just adore it. I love all the details on the close and the velvet is so lovely and soft. I am not sure of the age as it looks 1920's but pieces that old are very rare so it is unlikely. What ever age it is though I absolutely love it! xxxxxx

My baby Toto(AKA Boo). He is a bischon-Poodle cross and my wee baby. My beloved got him for me nearly 4 years ago as an early christmas present and he has been a spoilt wee bubba ever since. He goes everywhere with me I can take him (I wish I could take him to work too!), and when he isn't bossing his brother bob around, he is making beds out of my vintage clothes xxx
