BLUE BLUE SAILOR

HAT: Gift from my Mum
DRESS: Gift from my dearfriend Chrissie, bought from Tete a Tete Vintage
SHOES: Thrifted
SOCKS: The Warehouse
BAG: Thrifted, I added this cute wee doggie brooch to it
BANGLES: Thrifted from all over the place

This amazing dress was originally a jumpsuit, which was a little too small for me, so I have little by little turned it into a dress. The sailor collar on it is just gorgeous and I am a sucker for polka dots. I have recently discovered that over half of my wardrobe consists of blue dresses! It really is my all time favourite colour.
Isn't this hat amazing? It was a gift from my Mum, and has quickly become my favourite hat. It has polka dots, mesh, feathers and....... it's blue. best hat EVER.

PARASOLS

Aren't they pretty? The blue ones are thrifted plastic,
the green one is a bakelite one from Two Squirrels,
and the yellow one was bought on Etsy xxxx BLV

DRESS: Two Squirrels
BAG: Forever new
PARASOL: One of those $2-$8 shops (clearly the just $2 shop were to cheap....)
CARDIGAN: Thrifted
SHOES: Thrifted
SOCKS: Can't member
I love parasols. They are such a beautiful way to keep sun-safe and they are so very pretty. In Christchurch where I live, I get weird looks for being the only girl in the restaurant not wearing jeans, so you can imagine the looks I get with a parasol.
But you know what? Life is waaay too short to bother about what people on the street think of us, so off I go with my parasol!
Hmmmm wonder if I took my bunny for a walk on his harness, and then got out my parasol.
Think I may get even more wierd looks.
But he is sooo cute on his harness.

It is has been one hell of a year for Vanessa and Warren. Their 2 beautiful vintage shops Two Squirrels and Tete a Tete were destroyed in the February 6 magnitude earthquake. They have also had to deal with many other awful things over the past few months, including saying goodbye to their precious wee kitty cat Morgan, and they are still 2 of the happiest, most positive people I have ever met. On Friday they opened their new nest shop in Rangiora, where they live, and my beloved and I popped in to have a peek (and buy a million goodies) on Saturday. The shop looks AMAZING and I came home with a huge bundle of treasures. It is so wonderful to see how these 2 lovely people have picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and ... started all over again. I know the shop will do well, and I can't wait to go shopping there again. Congrats V and W xxxxxxxx  BLV
